Hey Munchkins!

What’s up?

I welcome you to my page from the bottom of my heart and I wouldn’t be more grateful to you guys to actually showing up to my page.

That was extra? Wasn’t it?

Ha-ha, hey guys!

So, first things first, this space is all about the good, bad, funny, etc almost all types of experiences I had in my life till now, and will still do in the future. There’s no stopping to the silly things that could happen now, is there?

So, my little munchkins, yes, I love that word, especially when Damon Salvatore says it. I hope you guys know who he is. If not, don’t worry, I am here to tell you about him. If you guys know who this guy is, then you’re damn right, I’d still gloat about him. Just kidding. *You never know, I would* *wink wink*. So coming back, as I was typing before, this space is all about the drama and what not that I have actually seen, and few are just my imagination, I make it up, you read that right. Don’t cross check it, you little brats. So you guys just have to be smart enough to figure out what is real and what is my imagination.

I won’t tell you guys what I will be writing, but I can assure you, you guys won’t be disappointed with my posts. And to receive notifications of when I will be uploading my posts, follow me and subscribe to my site via email. You guys will be updated on my social media handles as well, no that does not include Instagram, I need to make one for this purpose *toothy grin*. 3 – A Very Weird Experience On Instagram!

Dear Diary,

The reason I have given this title is because it is true. It was a weird and funny experience. You call it an experience is because you try something which may or may not workout. If it is funny, you get to share a laugh when you are 70 and telling a story to your grand kinds!
Since my Instagram is private for a very long long time, I decided to make it public. Yes. Public! Crazy, right?! So, I did make it public. Now, the issue was, I already had 500+ requests which I had not accepted for obvious reasons. Making an Instagram account public approves those requests. So within a span of ten minutes, my follower count went up to 700. I was happy, but after sometime, it started to get really weird.

There was one DM that said “Are you Google, because you have everything I’ve been looking for” I mean like, bleh. I freaked out and made my account private again. Yes! I did that! And after that, I spent literally one hour to remove all the new followers. I know it’s crazy, and to be honest, I laughed a lot later on.

On telling my sister and a friend, they went bonkers! It was that hilarious. Yes it was! Why I freaked out and felt weird is because I observed one thing about the usage of social media apps, especially in India, is that, people are desperate, neither in a good way nor bad. They’re just… desperate.

One thing I don’t understand is that people – especially guys. Not all- as soon as you accept a request they will flood your DM with messages. People who have private Instagram accounts will relate to this. And, I have seen the posts few social media influencers post on their stories about the horrible messages they get but they stand up for it.

I am not saying I have received such DMs, but there was one time, -I don’t even remember it- the reason I made my account private and never made it public again, until this time and again made it public because for such a long time I had kept it private and it really, really felt weird to have a public account. Yes, i have been told to make another account which would be public, but I am still working on it. I even don’t get the concept of having two accounts, of the same name where you post the same pictures/ videos in both the accounts. What’s the use of having a private account then?

This is not a rant, but just what has always been on my mind. This is one thing I will not forget. It was funny, as well as weird.

2 : My life’s first Trophy

Dear Diary

I am so overwhelmed right now I cannot even express it in words. If I am being honest here, this was supposed to be my third entry but decided to make it my second. No reasons, just wanted this to be my second.

Like I mentioned before, I’ve never been so overwhelmed before in my life. I got my first trophy. No, I didn’t win anything. I was just appreciated for my work.

So, around two weeks back I guess my college had hosted this formal event, which by the way was a HUGE success! I won’t get into the details of the event but will wrap it up in short, because I don’t want you to be unaware about it. Basically this event was nothing but an amazing experience one could have. There were really great influencers from Political, financial and economical backgrounds and even from the LGBTQ community! Yes. You read that right! I was most excited for the LGBTQ session because it was truly amazing. The speaker we had for that session was a LGBTQ activist and a lesbian herself and to listen to her story almost bought tears to my eyes. A simple thing she told was “Be your true self and you’ll be happy”, and I think that’s going to be my motto from now on.

The whole team had been working their asses off for this event and at the end all we got was appreciation and a token for the same and that token was the little trophy the core team gave us. It was so good to be appreciated for something you do, even though not for yourself but for your college or anything. It’s like an achievement, the only difference is that I did this because it made me happy, I felt like I belonged with these people. Though I don’t know half of the team, I’ll know them sometime or the other. This time, I really did something that made me happy. Yes, it was tough, but the whole experince was amazing! It was worth it!

Being a co-ordinator for the literature department showed me that I can be better at writing if I put in more efforts. I love writing, no doubt about it. But when you lose the inspiration to write, you literally just go blank in your creative head.

Oops. Sorry, coming back to the way I feel. I would like love to quote a title of the last episode of The Vampire Diaries, “I was feeling epic” that day. This sentence really came to life when I held that trophy for the first time. It was magical. *dramatic effects and drum roll*.

IT WAS EPIC!

Dear Diary…

I know I told I’d write sooner but I had EXAMSS! No, I’m not making any excuses, it’s true! Honestly they were not that bad. They were good.

I have loads to tell you but I’m going to start with this one thing that I faced this week. So since I had exams this week, I had to leave early from home plus I use public transport. So, there’s this one gujju lady who works for LIC and she also happens to be my brother’s friend’s mom. I KNOW! *inserts Monica Geller voice.*

I’m not much of a talker out in public, and it’s so awkward. Really awkward! I’ve met this lady even before, while going to college and God she talks non stop. I know it’s rude, it’s her personality to be a talkative being, but boy you should hear her talk! You’ll want to cut your ears off! And this is No Joke!

So last week i had to attend college just because i was bored at home and I was really late since the bus was nowhere near in sight and the lecture would be starting soon. But unfortunately it turned out to be a boring workshop. So I’m going to tell you what happened next in the form of a convo.

(Aunty actually spoke in Gujarati so I’m just going to translate it)

Gujju Aunty: What time do you have to reach?

Me : In 45 minutes.

Aunty : Come we’ll take a cab.

Me : No it’s fine. I’ll take the bus. There’s one at this time (time 10 a.m.)

After another 10 minutes, there was still no sight of the bus so there was no other option for me rather than taking a cab with her and other 2 people who wanted to go to the same place. I literally had to change buses that day!

We ended up taking a cab and there was this one more lady. Now, this gujju aunty is an insurance agent so she started a conversation with the other lady out of topic about traffic and other stuff and then ended up on whether the other lady has an insurance or not and I’m sitting there telling myself damn woman you’re good at marketing. But don’t you dare talk me into all this!

I know this is going no where but just this experience of meeting this lady everyday at the bus stop makes me feel like I should stay home. The whole week I had to pray when I opened my eyes that I shouldn’t meet this lady.

The other day, again she was with me in the bus, and she saw that I have a book in my hand and I’m trying to study and guess what she asks me?!

“Are my hair okay? I’ve tied it up because I feel hot so it’s better to tie it up”

My response everytime? I just smile and nod my head and all is fine. That’s what I do when I don’t know what to say. I mean, you can practically see right in front of you a poor girl is trying to study and in the middle of it you question her about your hair?!

I was lucky enough for my last 2 exams that I did not meet her. It was like a long sigh of relief. It was like I was holding my breath for too long and I have finally breathed out.

So that’s it for today, I’ll write sometime this week again.

I’m very excited to share with you guys whatever I will be sharing in these series. Yes, you read that right, it’s a series of my diary entries. Oh my God, no it’s not sad! That’s a total no no. It’s just going to be random entries of what I think and also when I want to write something very deep.
